Change of plans 2.0

So I'm in cambodia instead of vietnam, and I think my flight leaves the 14th to india, but we'll see how all of that goes. Rie, one of the girls I was traveling may go to inda as well, which would be great, but I think it's time to get a move on, and I don't want to slow down anymore. Laos is infectious with it's easy breezy lifestyle. I spent far to much time relaxing, but enjoyed every moment of it. The capital here seems to be a welcomed hectic break from that, and thus should reignite the fire under my buns! I have alot of ground to cover, such as this entire city of Phnom Penh, so as to be sure I can get to Siam reap to see angkor wat, and then make my way to Thailand for the full moon party. From there I'll get certified, and dive for a few days which will be amazing. I was thinking of possibly following the cost by train in india, something a bit more scenic, but Time is of the essence, So I'll have to see how all that goes! It's truly time for breakfast, and time to get this city done with! See you all tomorrow, I'll try and get some video done tonight, it's been far to long! This Song will be playing on the Ipod all day today. Holiday in Cambodia by the dead Kennedy's!!

Change of plans

So instead of heading north, and doing a nice trek there, I skipped that whole thing and headed straight south.  The trekk would have cost me 200 bucks, which is my visa for pakistan and some.  I'll head south and enjoy the more rual parts of laos, and then hop into vietnam and continue from there.  I just need to be sure that my visa for vietnam was multiple entry (nothing is ever clear in this part of the world)  I'm getting quite antsy to get out of south east asia and all the other travelers that seem to flock here.  I'm currently in the capital of Laos, and hopfully this time tommorow, I'll have made some progress getting south.  The only issue is that girls I'm traveling with they seem to want to take a much slower route, which may mean I'll have to drop them altoegther, which is a shame since they are so much fun.  I'll find out tonight what the plan is.

Hanoi and Laos

Itีs been a bit difficult to update as of late. Thereีs nothing really all that interesting thus yet for me to video tape, and not much that has happened. I entered vietnam , and went straight to hanoi. Itีs a miserable city, were itีs hot, everyone is hawking something towards you, and thereีs nothing all that magical about the city. I walked around, and managed a few shots, but it truly was a waste of time. Laos has been interesting to say the lest. I started my trip in Vang Vien, with a few guys from england who took a gap year. I tagged along with them, and participated in small parts of the debauchery and shenanigans that are abundant throughout the small river town. Once I recovered from that disaster, I hopped a bus to Luang Prabang, a unesco site, an old french colony full of vatีs and french colonial architecture. Itีs been a nice break, with a laid back feel, that Iีve been sharing with Ire, and Marie, two girls from denmark that I meet at the bus station. There always happy, and possibly the most polite people I have ever meet (Ire was feeling sick and threw up, but stopped when she saw me, said hello, waited for me to ask what she was doing, told me she was about to use the bathroom to throw up, and waited there until I yelled at her to go). Tomorrow Iีm taking the 8:30 bus to Luang Nam Tha, for a bit of trekking in the mountains and jungles which will be great. Iีm then headed to the capital for a bit of a break, to witness some of the sites and then hopping on a bus for later that day down way south to Pakse, as a launching point for some of the more remote areas of laos, as well as the 4 thousand island area near the south, and eventually, back into vietnam to Ho Chi Min. Iีll keep going through cambodia, and end up in Thailand. Hopefully Iีll have more to post about then, but Iีm pretty much over south east asia and the menus that are in english. Itีs time to get back to the wild.

I'll post up some pics as soon as flickr is done.
